SOCIAL ENTERPRISE
What is social enterprise, you might ask?
Well, lemme tell you:

Well, have you heard of the social economy?
Social economy refers to a third sector in economies between the private sector and business or, the public sector and government. It includes organisations such as cooperatives, non-governmental organisations and charities.

Now, Social Enterprise?
Thats the forth sector.
Yeah, thats right, there is another one:
Not government, not private industry, not a charity
The amazing place where all of the above

INTERTWINE
"The For-Benefit Sector"
some call it.
They are the people who want to make money
and change the world.
Called Occupation: Change the World)
These are popping up everywhere:
Like the Centre for Social Innovation in Toronto
This social enterprise incubates new business,
(using social innovation to mean " a new idea that has been put into practice for the public good.")
Creates community business and work spaces,
and
fosters new methods to face
new problems
including those which are social, environmental, and economical
BUT
They make money off of it.
SO:
What makes it different than a regular business?
PROFIT AND PURPOSE
Businesses are acting more like not for profits
and vice versa
And what of this blurring?!?
where does this lead us?
Do you have to choose to whether make money or to change the world?
I think we can have both.
ESPECIALLY
in

Telling people about this?
Is now my job.
Awesome.
